Today was the quarter-finals and semi-finals of the Middlesex Fours. Two North London teams qualified to play: Lola/Beth/Sue/Wanda and Kembra/Yasmin/Lisa/Angela. Both teams won their games this morning against Bury Lodge and West Ealing respectively – a great achievement in itself.
This afternoon Kembra/Yasmin/Lisa/Angela were level going into the last end against Bush Hill Park – a four on the last end secured their victory, a place in the Middlesex finals and in the national championship at Leamington in mid-August. Wanda’s team just missed out against a strong Ashford team.
