In April the new season spanned the months ahead. Then all too soon it is now September and time to put away the sun screen and waterproofs for another year.

And what a year it has been. Full of wonderful bowling, surprises, drama, some notable successes and some exciting new bowlers already making their mark. Click here to see the results.

At the beginning of the season, a summary was sent out of the various club level competitions NLBC entered in 2025, along with the name of the person who would be co-ordinating the team for each of these competitions. For those of you who are interested, I am now attaching a summary of how we did and who was involved. A copy will also be put up in the club.

(***It does not include any personal entries for singles/ teams that players might have made in the Bowls England/ Middlesex/ Finchley and North London Competitions).

I would like to give a huge thank you to all the people who have stepped up to co-ordinate and encourage their teams across the competitions. Quite simply, without all your hard work, time and commitment behind the scenes the matches would not take place.

I have a favourite quote: ‘you can have a team of players or a playing team’. So, my second huge thank you is to all the many bowlers who have bowled in and supported the teams across the competitions. Everyone’s contributions and support for each other during matches have been greatly valued.

So have a great rest and I look forward to seeing you all in 2026.
